Note:
As of the date of modification of this webpage, a disclosure of Statistical Rate Monotonic Scheduling has been made to Boston University in preparation for a potential patent application on behalf of Alia K. Atlas and Azer Bestavros.

Goal of Algorithm:

SRMS schedules periodic real-time tasks with variable resource requirements to provide a requested statistical Quality of Service guarantee. SRMS yields controllable and predictable QoS unrelated to the period of a given task.

SRMS Workbench

The SRMS Workbench is a design tool, written as a Java applet, to facilitate the design and analysis of real-time systems. It provides analysis and simulations using Rate Monotonic Scheduling, SRMS, and Slack Stealing Job Admission Control Scheduling.
