Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.

Hi, this is my website. I've put a lot of stuff here in the past, including two ROMs to run Pocket PC 2002 on h36xx and h31xx ipaqs (which I no longer posess). It also once ran some elaborate php+mysql site that I threw together one night. Right now, I just feel lazy so it has a collection random links that may or may not be useful to you.

Some thoughts on Zenryu Shirakawa who taught me Japanese for two semesters.

Mac OSX

Apple's iSync does not support syncing with my phone, the Nokia 6126. So I made a free plugin for it. Get it here with instructions.

iNeedFlix is an OSX netflix queue manager I wrote one afternoon. It supports moving things in the queue by dragging them. (6/30/2007)

OSXnews (an NNTP news reader for OS X that I wrote while a Senior)

It sister project GSnews using GNUstep is almost ready for an intial release

Openstep/GNUStep

GNUstep is one of the most promising and also one of the least appreciated projects around. In very simple terms it is an free portable implementation of the Cocoa framework. Ideally it is possible to write something for OSX and simply recompile it for linux and windows.

I've been involved with this project on and off for a while. The greatest problem for GNUstep is it looks like it is from 1991

you might find my mini gnustep guide for debian useful

Linux Handhelds

Osync is a little application I wrote to sync Opie with OSX applications. Syncing with Safari works right now, but it really is a work in progress.
I've become a fan of the opie project and familiar linux and try to lend a hand when I can. Opie users may be interested in my little guide to getting Opie to sync with Qtopia desktop without screwing up the timezones in claendar.

Random

Recently, I had to operate on my ibook to replace to broken plug.
