A short story of this picture:
This picture was taken in the Rutgers University dorm that I resided in
Newark, NJ when I was doing summer intern at Lucent
Bell-labs. The people in the picture are (from left to right):
Ramon,
Sanjay, Scott,
Me, Shankar, and Andrew.
Ramon, Scott and Andrew are my roommates. Sanjay is Ramon's buddy at University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Shankar is Ramon's older brother. Believe
it or not, he is a professor at University of Chicago Math Department!
That night was about 1 week after Scott got his new video camera for his
computer, so we decided to take a picture out of that. As you can see,
the quality is not bad at all even though it can not reflect the fact that
half of us were drunk.
By the way, Ramon was mugged in Newark (during daytime). Due to that fact
(we believe so), all interns in the building were waiveed the residence
fee for the whole summer. We love you, Ramon!
Acknowledgement on the slogan beneath the picture:
"Don't mess with me, I'm from Newark" was originally from one of the
cooks in Bell-labs Cafeteria. He is a tough guy but is really funny and
nice.
