Rooftops and San Diego
Kyle enjoys his last day in La Jolla, then heads to San Diego to fly out.

Papadimitriou, giving his own plenary talk.

Another congregation for our lunch crew.

This time we went for Mexican. This is the closest to Mexico I've ever eaten Mexican food!

Some hill above the town.

Lots of Germans!

Heading back to the conference

Alex: Why are you always behind us, Kyle?

I went to some talks in the upper room. This picture is taken back down towards the rest of the hotel.

That roof is where most of WINE was held.

Some of the cool rooftops of La Jolla.

On the ride back to San Diego. I caught a few good glimpses of the sunset.

I'm not sure what all these bridges, marshes and rivers are called... :-P

... but they sure are pretty!

Some kind of fake military vessel.

I had tons of time before my flight. I checked in at the airport, hoping to walk into town. Unfortunately, there was no where to leave my bags at the airport. I attempted to walk to town, but got tired pretty quickly.

These are shots of some part of the harbor.

This bad picture is only here so you can see how much nicer the fixed version came out...

This is using the Night Scene setting. Much better!

That's the aircraft carrier over there, I think! I really wanted to see it up close, but I didn't have a chance

There was a little park for cancer survivors along the way back. I checked it out.

The park was a winding path through different... um... non-exhibits. Very interesting!

The people on the left are cancer patients.

The twisty thing symbolizes the difficult and winding path of fighting cancer.
