Brief Biography: Arif M. Bhatti received the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Quaid-e-Azam University (Islamabad, Pakistan) in 1987, the M.S. degree in Computer Science from the Boston University in 1990, and the PhD degree in Computer Science from the Boston University 1997. From 1994-1997 during his doctoral work, he taught several courses in Programming Languages, Data Structures and Computer Networks at undergraduate and graduate level. In 1997, he joined the industry as senior software engineer and worked on several projects related to the parallel computing for business and web applications for mobile users. From 1999-2001, he managed “Advanced Technology Center” for a financial software company and worked on projects related to the security on wireless web, web scraping, voice-enabled web and smart cards for financial applications. He is interested in applied research and his research interests include parallel computing, PKI security, Wireless computing, multimedia and streaming technologies, knowledge management and data mining for user personalization, multimodal biometrics for user authentication and dynamic multimodal user interfaces for mobile users. Dr. Bhatti joined the ZU College of Information Systems in the Spring of 2002.
