Who am I?

I am a dedicated BA/MS Computer Science candidate at Boston University with a 3.86 GPA and internship experience in AI solutions and full-stack development at IBM. I am passionate about applying my skills in software engineering to create impactful applications.

About Me

Hello! I'm Zaki Araujo, a Computer Science student at Boston University on the BA/MS track, set to graduate in June 2027. I'm driven by a passion for using software engineering to solve complex problems, and I've been fortunate to gain practical experience during internships at IBM, Norfolk Capital, and Analog Devices. At IBM, I engineered an AI tool using a refined Granite model and built a full-stack dashboard to track performance metrics. While I love tackling challenges in software development, I also find balance and inspiration in nature. When I step away from the keyboard, I enjoy golfing, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors. I'm excited to apply my technical skills and focused perspective to contribute to innovative, real-world applications.

Featured Roles

IBM

Software Developer Intern – Lowell, Massachusetts

  • Engineered an AI-driven solution for automated unit test generation by training a LoRA-refined Granite model to enhance testing intelligence and scalability within the Maximo repository.
  • Implemented org-wide productivity enhancements by creating jobs to identify stale pull requests across all repositories, delivering weekly reports to streamline code maintenance.
  • Developed a full-stack developer productivity dashboard to track historical closed pull request data and provide teams with real-time performance metrics through a frontend interface.

Norfolk Capital

Software Engineering Intern – Wilmington, Massachusetts

  • Developed a Python script to automate the acquisition data process using Zillow, Redfin APIs, and city property records. This script streamlined the creation of acquisition letters based on property addresses, saving roughly 1 hour per 5 properties and significantly enhancing efficiency and accuracy in targeting off market properties, thereby increasing acquisition opportunities.

Analog Devices Inc

Software Engineering Intern – Wilmington, Massachusetts

  • Orchestrated the development and personally implemented a key synchronization script, ensuring seamless alignment between external Apollo boards and the GitHub file structure to enhance overall project development efficiency.
