I’m a fourth-year PhD student in Computer Science advised by Prof. Emily Whiting in the Shape Design & Computation Lab at Boston University. My research is on non-visual, multimodal interfaces for digital fabrication and manufacturing workflows with joint interests in accessibility, auditory perception, and acoustic rendering. My recent work focuses on perceptually-driven sonification for 3D print monitoring. I am grateful to be a recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, which supports my work.
Prior to starting my PhD, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Wellesley College, where I worked with Prof. Jordan Tynes on virtual reality development for archaeological site documentation, as well as with Prof. Brian Brubach on computational voting theory.
