My Favorite Food: Quesadillas

Quesadillas are a

simple yet delicious dish made by filling

tortillas with cheese and other

ingredients like chicken, or veggies, then folding them and cooking until crispy. It's a perfect comfort food for me, and the combination of melted cheese and the crispy tortilla is just unbeatable. Also, the versatility of fillings means I can mix it up depending on my mood. It’s quick, satisfying, and always hits the spot!

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Place a skillet or frying pan on medium heat and add a little butter or oil to coat the bottom.
  2. Place one tortilla on a flat surface. Sprinkle cheese evenly over the tortilla. Add any optional fillings like chicken, beans, or veggies, ensuring the cheese is still the main layer.
  3. Place the filled tortilla in the heated pan. Place the second tortilla on top to cover the fillings. Cook for 2-3 minutes, pressing down gently to help the cheese melt and the tortilla crisp up.
  4. Carefully flip the quesadilla with a spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the second side is golden and crispy.
  5. Remove the quesadilla from the pan, let it cool for a moment, and then cut it into wedges.
  6. Enjoy!
