Using Weka on a Mac
If you receive an error message when you try to run Weka on a Mac, you may
need to change your security preferences, at least temporarily, by taking the
following steps:
- Open up System Preferences, located under the Apple menu
in the top left corner.
- Under Security & Privacy, click the unlock icon and
authenticate as an administrator.
- Make sure the radio button under Allow applications downloaded from:
is set to Anywhere.
- Close System Preferences and restart Weka, which should now start
without an error message.
Once you get it to work, you may return to System Preferences and
restore the radio button to its previous setting. Once Weka has been
successfully started, it should continue to start without error, even with
the original security settings.
