About Me

Hello! I'm Emily, a junior studying Computer Science here at BU. I was born and raised in Boston. I took my first computer science class in my junior year of high school and have been hooked ever since. I enjoy web development - I especially love working with frontend, and want to gain more experience with backend development. I enjoy UI/UX, working closely with consumer-facing products. In my free time, I like to dabble in UX designs and Figma. Outside of academics and work, I love trying new food and exploring new restaurants.

Activities and Interests

Food

As I've said, I love eating food! This is a picture of a malatang bowl I got at Malatown. For those who may not know, malatang is Chinese hotpot dish where you customize your own bowl of raw ingredients, and it will then be cooked and served in a hot (and usually spicy) broth.

Travel

There aren't many countries that I've been to, but I love exploring new places whenever I get the chance to leave Massachusetts. I have a trip planned in December to go to Japan with my partner. It'll be a 17-day trip, and we'll be hitting up Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, and Osaka. With a few day trips to other cities too. Super excited for this one!

Shoutout to Expedia for making the hotels easy to book. But I hope don't get screwed over for booking third-party.

Ninja Creami

Okay, this is VERY niche and maybe weird. And it also already falls under food. But it deserves its own category. I love making recipes from my Ninja Creami machine. Craving froyo? Easy. Just pop in a Chobani in the container and freeze it overnight. I swear I also make the best vanilla ice cream with this machine - it tastes identical to Haagen Dazs but with 5x less sugar. It's amazing.
