Eva Romero 2025 Computer Science and Marine Science |
---|
I was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to a Colombian father and Irish-American mother. When I was 10, we moved to Atlanta, GA for my father's job. As much as I loved the beaches of Florida, I will always love the forest and monutains of Georgia. I came to BU to experience a true winter and get myself out of my comfort zone. It taught me that I am not built for the winter. I am double majoring in Marine Science and Computer Science. I hope to use my knowledge of programming to do deep learning research in the marine field.
Singing |
I have always loved to sing. In highschool, I did acapella and chorus. In college, I joined an A Capella group called Chordially Yours as a freshman. Now I am the president! | Chordially Yours Website | |
Research |
I have been in a Kaufman-Deyle research lab at BU for the last year! Over the summer, I did UROP and worked on adapting 3D deep learning algorithms for coral classification in order to learn more about their geometry. | Lab Website | |
Serving |
Outside of school, I work as a server at Yardhouse in Fenway. I started last summer and I absolutely love it. If I am not in class, I am usually working at Yardhouse. | Yardhouse! |
