I am pursuing my major because I was exposed to coding early on during my education in the Philippines. It is something that I have carried with me through voluntarily attending boarding school in Massachusetts, matriculating to a technology-heavy school (WPI) wherein I further pursued mathematics, and then transferring to Boston University. I hope to pursue a career in software engineering, specifically in the realm of mobile development, and eventually end back home in California.

ACTIVITIES

SWE Non-Profit Work

I am the Lead SWE & UI/UX Designer for an impact team in Boston University's Hack4Impact club. Our organization partners with the non-profit Friends of the Public Garden wherein we are building their website to utilize AI in tagging photos of public parks around Boston.

BU's Hack4Impact

Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity

I am involved in BU's oldest and largest business fraternity, AKPsi, during my past time. This organization is where I learned important networking skills and how to conduct myself during interviews. Personally, it has also given me a strong sense of community within BU as a transfer student.

I take great joy in being a part of BUFSA and the community it has given me, especially with my background of growing up in the Philippines. Our upcoming events involve ISA, which is our annual cultural dance and singing showcase, that I will be a part of this Spring 2027.
