About Me
I was born on the warm and tropical Caribbean, specifically the Dominican Republic, where I lived up until my late childhood. When I was 9 years old, me and my family uprooted and moved here to Massachusetts–I’ve lived in the states for 11 years now. Funny little inside thing me and my family have about our move is that our flight here departed from the DR on the morning of July 4th, and so by the time we arrived at night to Massachusetts, the Fourth of July festivities were at their peak. We made a joke that America was collectively celebrating our arrival, and we continue to repeat the same joke every year. Anyways, I am a transfer to BU and this is my first semester. My grades were pretty AWFUL senior year of high school (and to be honest most of high school overall), so I did not get in when I applied as a first-year student. HOWEVER!! One college school year later and some letters of recommendation from my lovely former teachers and here we are. I am proud of myself for locking in during my first semester of college and improving myself enough to be able to get accepted into BU on my second attempt, and I am very much excited to experience the most it has to offer.
