Short Bio

Hello! My name is Sydney and I grew up in a small town in Iowa. I'm currently studying Computer Science and Spanish here at BU, and I'm in my fourth year. Though, I still have three semesters left since I took some time off last Spring to pursue a Software Development internship with NASA! For the majority of my time in high school I was dead set on studying medicine, but after taking my first programming class I had no doubt in my mind that it was what I wanted to pursue :)

I absolutely love to travel and always try to do it as much as I can! I've currently been to over 10 different countries, and in the past three years alone I've studied abroad through BU twice (Madrid and London) and traveled abroad with BU four separate times.

Reading

Reading is one of my favorite ways to spend my free time, and I'm a firm believer that everyone should visit their local public libraries and get themselves a library card! Over the years, my genre of choice has shifted from Fantasy to Philosophy.

Some internships that I've gotten to do include Unity development for mobile games and flight software development for NASA, and with each one I find new unique ways to use the skills I've learned from my classes and do what I love!
