Also known as hip-hop music, the Rap genre was developed in the 1970’s in the Bronx borough of New York City, by African Americans, Latino Americans, and Caribbean Americans. "N.Y. State of Mind" is a famous rap song.

Pop Music

Pop music, short for “popular” music emerged in the 1950’s in the United Kingdom and the United States. Pop music is defined by whichever songs produce the most hits. "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson, is a famous pop song from the early 2000s.

EDM Music

EDM stands for Electronic Dance Music. It includes a broad range of percussive electronic music genres made mostly for nightclubs, raves and festivals. "Levels" by Avicci, is a well-known EDM song.
