Halloween

Halloween began over 2,000 years ago with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people lit bonfires and wore costumes to scare away ghosts. In the 8th century, the Christian holiday All Saints' Day was placed on November 1, and the night before became known as All Hallows' Eve, later called Halloween. Over time, Halloween turned into a fun holiday with costumes, trick-or-treating, and spooky decorations.
