Tteongmanduguk | Rice Cake Dumpling Soup

Ingredients

Sesame oil, Sliced rice cake, Dumplings, Choice of meet (1 cup), Green onion (0.5 cup), Water, Salt, Pepper, Minced garlic, Anchovy sauce, Soup soy sauce (you can also use regular soy sauce), 2 eggs, Nori seaweed

Recipe

  1. Soak sliced rice cake in water for about 30 minutes
  2. Cut your choice of meat into bite size pieces
  3. Finely chop the green onion

  5. Put 2.5 tsp of sesame oil in a pot with your choice of meat
  6. While cooking your choice of meat, add salt, pepper, soup soy sauce and anchovy sauce.
  7. When the meat is cooked, add 600ml of water

  9. Once the broth boils, add sliced rice cake, dumpling, and 1 table spoon of minced garlic
  10. Season to taste with salt and anchovy sauce (we also added Korean broth coin)
  11. Add more water if necessary

  13. Add eggs and stir before putting it into pot
  14. Add chopped green onion into soup
  15. Finish with nori seaweed flake and paper

  17. Serve Tteongmanduguk with your favorite kimchi. Enjoy!

Godeungeo Kimchi Jjim | Braised Kimchi with Mackerel

Ingredients

overly fermented kimchi(2-3 cups) mackerels(1 can), 2 spicy pepper, 1 onion, pepper powder, water, minced garlic, soy bean paste, sugar, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil

Recipe

  1. Slice onion with approx width of 0.5cm
  2. Finely cut green onions
  3. Finely cut spicy pepper

  5. Mimages/ce by mixing minced ginger(1/3 tbsp), minced garlic(2 tbsp), soybean paste(2 tbsp), sugar(1 tbsp), sesame oil(2 tbsp), red pepper powder(6 tbsp), soy sauce(2 tbsp) and canned mackerel water in a bowl
  6. Put 2-3 cups of kimchi on the bottom of the pot
  7. Place mackerels on top, get rid of fishbones with meat facing downwards
  8. Add green onions, spicy peppers and onions
  9. Add 400ml of water(2 cups), the sauce and boil
  10. When it simmers, lower fire to medium and simmer for 10 more minutes
