Despite it's name, Museum of Sex was hands down one of the best valued instillations I've gone too. It was in fact extremely educational and entertaining. Ticket includes access to an art gallery, artifact museum, interactive games and shows!
Governors Ball Music Festival is New York City's annual music festival that's usually held at Governor's Island. The festival is three days long but you may choose to buy tickets for only one or two days. The lineup is always exciting!
The Guggenheim is known for it's modern and contemporary collection and as well as the architectural space of the building.
Pier 17 is another popular venue where concerts are held. It's also by seaport which offers an amazing view.
The Coney Island Aquarium is just by the beach and the amusement park. It's a go to for locals and and must go for tourists! Your day will never end if you take a trip there. Don't forget to wear sunscreen!
Despite being one of the wealthier neighborhoods in NYC, there's still tons of affordable things to do. You can window shop or simply enjoy the aesthetic of the community. From local bookstores to cute cafes you can easily find something.
There's three big Chinatowns in NYC, one in Brooklyn, one in Queens, and One in Manhattan. The Manhattan is hands down the most iconic and popular one. Everyone loves taking pictures by the street with lanterns. Most shops and restaurants are also on the low end.
The Oculus is a recently built mall known for it's unique and contemporary architecture. It's right by the world trade center and where the Twin Towers once were. It's located in lower Manhattan by the Tribeca neighborhood, also an affluent area. Even if you don't end up shopping, you'll still get lots out of walking around!
World Ice Arena offers one of the cheapest skating price in NYC with admissions being only $7. It's by Flushing Meadows Corona Park, you can get there by riding to the last stops of the 7 train. The rink is located by Queens' biggest park so you can take a walk around as well.
Thrifting is also a very affordable activity in NYC. Some of my favorites include LTrain Vintage and Buffalo Exchange. Monk Vintage is a thrift store in Williamsburg with a very cool 80s interior aesthetic.
Shore Parkway runs 4.5 miles alongside the Belt Parkway from the American Veterans Memorial Pier to Bensonhurst Park. The route is by the coast of West Brooklyn, you can see both the Brooklyn and Verrazano Bridge.
